Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët

Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët (/ˈvno˞tlo/ /gaː/ [bitter] [plane]) is a subtropical Town located in the Brotlëftavremōf Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët was founded by Sēy Mä̂ 'Lena Riley' Cúńó̄s Ermé̄s Cúńó̄sh Ezaenzo Dhuzono, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët has a yearly average temperature of 14°C (57°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a freezing 0°C (32°F). Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët receives an average of 150 cm/y (59 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Overview

Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët was founded durring the late 15th century in winter of the year 1455, by Sēy Mä̂ 'Lena Riley' Cúńó̄s Ermé̄s Cúńó̄sh Ezaenzo Dhuzono. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Sēy Mä̂ 'Lena Riley' Cúńó̄s Ermé̄s Cúńó̄sh Ezaenzo Dhuzono.

Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët is buildings have been located at convienant points along the pond Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the restrictive baked earthen streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town has a defencive wall made from large clay bricks. The wall is constructed to the exact specifications of millitary fortifications, but the nature of its clay brick construction leaves it vulnerable to even outdated siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Unfortuantly, these brittle defences are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up.

Civic Infrastructure

Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.

Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Cultural Notes

Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is inspired by the natural world, characterized by sinuous, sculptural, organic shapes, arches, curving lines, and sensual ornamentation. Common motifs included stylized versions of leaves, flowers, vines, insects, animals, and other natural elements. Decorative elements found on the inside and outside of buildings include intricate mosaic work, curved windows, and decorative trim work. .

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century a local hero by the name of protected Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët's harvest from an army of bandits. One of Vnötlo Gǟ Vrët's festivals remembers the hero.
